 Installing WordView on your computer

  Log off the internet (if there) to start the WordView installation.  

Step - 1  Open your WordView folder; you will see the file you just downloaded.

Step - 2  Double-click the wd97vwr32 icon to set up the WordView program  installation;  it will open the dialogue box shown below by the red arrow.  

The dialogue box, shown below, will appear

Step - 3  Click the   [ Yes ]  button to continue the installation

  The dialogue boxes, shown below, will appear  

Step - 4  Click the   [ Continue ]  button to proceed

  The dialogue boxes, shown below, will appear  

Step - 5  Click the   [ Change Folder ]  button to change the path to the "Wordview" folder instead of the "Programs" folder (just delete "\Program Files"

When the above message disappears; the dialogue box, shown below, appears

Step - 6  Check that your path will be  "C:\ WordView" in the "Path:" field (this will keep all the WordView files in its own folder on your "C" drive).  Click the  [ OK ]  button to effect the path change


Step - 7  After changing the path to where you want to install WordView, click the   [ OK ]  button

The message box shown below will display for several seconds

Step - 8  Read the agreement;  if it is ok with you, click on the  [ Accept ]  button

Step - 9  When the dialogue box below displays,  click on the Install icon to install the WordView files in your  "C:\WordView"  folder

Step - 10  If you have MicroSoft Office software installed in your computer (it is assumed you do not -- this is why you want to use WordView), click on the  [ Open with Word ] otherwise, click on the  [ Open with Viewer ]  button.  This sets which program is the default when you boot up your computer; if you have Microsoft Word 2000 or better installed in your computer, click on "Open with Word" to keep it as the default program

Step - 11  Click the  [ OK  button to exit the installation. 

Step - 12  Navigate to your Wordview folder and view the "ReadMe file" ;double-click the ReadMe icon,  to test Wordview (it should open autopmatically.)

  You are all done --  WordView is ready for use on your system
